We are delighted to welcome all our students back to school and to begin this new chapter of school life together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We wish everyone a successful academic year filled with new achievements, exciting discoveries, and memorable school experiences!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>School Uniform<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would like to remind you that <strong>on Fridays, public holidays, and during official school events<\/strong>, students are required to wear the <strong>official school uniform<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official school uniform includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>white school shirt<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>school tie<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>school trousers\/skirt<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If any uniform items are missing, they can be purchased from <strong>Zaks Uniforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that compliance with the school dress code is mandatory. In accordance with the <strong>School Dress Code Policy<\/strong>, students whose clothing does not meet the established requirements will be asked to correct the violation. In cases of repeated non-compliance, a student may be <strong>sent home to change<\/strong>. Continued failure to follow the dress code may result in <strong>disciplinary action in accordance with the RSAD Student Behaviour Policy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Whole School Writing Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On <strong>Monday, 7 September<\/strong>, students from <strong>Grade 2 to Grade 12<\/strong> will take part in an <strong>essay-writing competition<\/strong> during the first lesson. The application form is attached to this email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your child is unwell or the school nurse contacts you regarding your child\u2019s health, the permission for independent departure is <strong>cancelled for that day<\/strong>. In such cases, parents are required to collect their child from school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>School Canteen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">School meals are provided on a voluntary basis. A <strong>trial week<\/strong> is available before starting a regular meal subscription. The menu is included in the presentation attached to this email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that the <strong>Spare app is no longer available<\/strong>. Going forward, you will be able to manage your child\u2019s <strong>canteen card<\/strong> and monitor their spending through the <strong>Zenda Canteen app<\/strong> (please see the attached information).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you already had a Spare account with a remaining balance, the funds will be <strong>transferred to your Zenda account after you register<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make a payment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on the name of the selected package and date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the instructions and enter your child\u2019s <strong>first and last name<\/strong>, as well as their <strong>GRADE<\/strong> (not \u201cclass\u201d).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save a screenshot of the payment confirmation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your child has a food allergy or intolerance, please inform:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the class teacher;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the school nurse (<strong>nurse@russianschool.ae<\/strong>);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the canteen staff (<strong>To:<\/strong> <strong>satheesh@foodnationme.com<\/strong><strong>; CC:<\/strong> <strong>info@russianschool.ae<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the school meals are not suitable for you or your child, you may send your child to school with a <strong>lunch box<\/strong>. All lunch boxes are stored in the canteen on designated shelves during the school day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We strongly encourage families to follow the principles of healthy eating. The following items are <strong>not permitted at school<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>fizzy drinks;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>crisps;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chocolate bars;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sweetened yoghurts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nuts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Food deliveries from restaurants to the school are not permitted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Absence Notifications and Medical Certificates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The absence notification form (attached) should be sent to <strong>reception@russianschool.ae<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that absence notifications and all medical certificates should be sent <strong>only to this email address and in PDF format<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a medical certificate has been issued in Russia or another country outside the UAE, it must be <strong>translated into English and notarised<\/strong>.
