Can a child go to school if he does not speak Russian?

Pupils of the preschool department most of the time (about 80%) speak Russian and study in Russian. 15% of the time is spent learning English, 5% is spent learning Arabic.

Primary school students speak and study in Russian 65% of the time. 18% of the time is spent learning English. 17% of the time is spent learning Arabic.

How many students are in each class?

In the preschool department, 15-20 children study in each group. In elementary school, there are no more than 20 students in one class.

What additional activities are envisaged?

Additional education is an integral part of the educational process. A wide range of social, cultural, scientific and sports extra-curricular activities are available to our students, which allows them to find the area of interests that they really like, constantly try new things and expand their knowledge.

All events are divided into four large blocks: “Citizen of the World” (volunteering, social projects and actions, debates, excursions), “Future Leader” (leadership course, team games, meetings with leaders), “School Community” (olympiads, phenomenal weeks , project activities), “Creativity” (drama club, organization of exhibitions, choir), “Sports and a healthy lifestyle” (sports and dance clubs, health days).

How do parents find out about student progress?

For parents, we form individual reports. We will inform the parents of preschoolers about the progress of their children, send them recommendations from teachers, recommendations from the school psychologist and speech therapist, information about extracurricular activities and achievements.

Elementary Parent Reports include performance information, teacher recommendations, semester grades, extracurricular activities and achievements.

What makes the Russian School of Abu Dhabi special?

The Russian School in Abu Dhabi is the first school in the region with a Russian curriculum. Our students study all subjects of the Federal State Educational Standard of the Russian Federation and subjects that are mandatory for all students in the UAE: Islam, Arabic, social sciences.

In addition, we have developed a special leadership course: we educate future leaders who are able to independently build their lives and take responsibility for it, who can openly look at the world and accept its diversity.
