Dear Parents,
On August 31, 2026, the Russian School in Abu Dhabi opens its doors to students to begin the 2026/2027 academic year. We are delighted to welcome our students back after the summer holidays and especially happy to greet those who are joining us for the first time.
First Day Program
On the first school day, we invite students and parents to an open homeroom session. This will be an opportunity to introduce new and returning students, meet the homeroom teacher, and learn how the educational process will be organized.
Parents are also welcome to join their children in starting the new academic year and becoming acquainted with the school community. All students are required to come to school wearing the official school uniform.
September 1 – Knowledge Day
On September 1, the Russian School in Abu Dhabi will celebrate Knowledge Day, one of the main school celebrations marking the beginning of the academic year, new learning, and academic goals.
Ceremonial assemblies will take place at the following times:
- Kindergarten — 8:00 AM
- Primary School — 9:20 AM
- Secondary School — 10:15 AM
On Knowledge Day, all students are required to come to school wearing the official school uniform. Please note that the ceremonial assemblies are intended for students and parents will not be permitted to attend.

Mojo
Class schedules and homework assignments are available through the Mojo app. Parents of new students will receive an invitation email at the email address provided during registration within 2 business days. To activate your account, please follow the link in the email and set your own password. School code: 8956. If you have not received the invitation email, please contact the school so that we can verify your details.
Parent Meeting
We invite parents to attend a parent meeting:

Extracurricular Activities Fair
On September 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM, an Extracurricular Activities Fair will be held at the school. This will be an opportunity to explore a variety of clubs and activities, meet teachers and coaches, get answers to your questions, and register your children for activities. The fair is a great opportunity to find activities that match your children’s interests, develop their talents, and make school life even more engaging.
School Cafeteria
School cafeteria meals are optional. A trial week is available before starting a meal subscription.

To make a payment:
- Click on the name of the selected package and the date.
- Follow the instructions and enter your child’s first and last name, as well as their GRADE (not “class”).
- Save a screenshot of the payment confirmation.
If your child has a food allergy or individual food intolerance, you must inform:
- the homeroom teacher;
- the school nurse: (nurse@russianschool.ae);
- the cafeteria staff: (To satheesh@foodnationme.com, CC info@russianschool.ae).
If the cafeteria meals are not suitable for you or your child, you may send your child to school with their own lunchbox. All lunchboxes are stored on designated shelves in the cafeteria during the day.
We strongly ask families to follow healthy eating principles. The following items are not permitted at school:
- Carbonated drinks
- Chips
- Chocolate bars
- Sweetened yogurts
- Nuts
Food deliveries from restaurants to the school are not permitted.
Pick-Up List
Please remember that the Pick-Up List must include the child’s parents (mother and/or father), as well as any additional authorized persons who may collect the child from school, if applicable.
For new students: please complete the Pick-Up List using the provided link.
To make changes: if you would like to add a new authorized person to an existing Pick-Up List, please use the provided link.
Procedure for Submitting Absence Documentation
The absence notification form (see attachment) must be sent to: reception@russianschool.ae. All medical certificates should also be sent only to this email address and in PDF format. Please note that if a medical certificate was issued in Russia or another country outside the UAE, it must be translated into English and notarized. Please take this requirement into account when preparing your documents.
Requesting a Certificate of Enrollment
If you require a document confirming that your child is enrolled at our school, please submit your request in the special request book at the reception desk. The document will be prepared within four business days.

Russian Language Center / Saturday School
Our school also has an Additional Education Center. On weekdays, Russian as a foreign language classes are offered for children and adults. On Saturdays, the center operates a school offering a variety of interesting subjects and activities.
